Marguerite Schneider has worked in a variety of fields including corporate strategic planning and academic administration. She became an associate professor of management, with many award-winning, well-cited scholarly publications in the areas of leadership, corporate governance, innovation, and social responsibility (see the third social link in the footnote section, for her academic publications and their citation).

Marguerite recently decided to satisfy her six year-old self by writing creatively. Her short stories are published in in a variety of online and print literary magazines including Persimmon Tree and MockingOwl Roost, and several anthologies including by Chicago Story Press and Pure Slush. She truly hopes that her first novel, Murder at St. Mark’s, will soon be ready for prime time.

 Marguerite graduated from NYU (BS in Economics, MBA in Finance) and earned a Ph.D. in Organization Management from Rutgers University. She lives in Riverdale, The Bronx, and Red Hook Village, Hudson Valley, both in NY, with her husband Richard. She and Richard raised fraternal twin daughters Elizabeth James and Roxanne Schneider, and have adopted four rescue dogs over the years. She enjoys volunteering, gardening, yoga, thinking, reading, writing, traveling, and walking her dog, Murray.
